Several reports have revealed that Samsung is working on the Galaxy S26 series of smartphones, which is expected to debut by early 2026. While early reports suggested a conservative update cycle, new information indicates that at least the Plus model in the series may receive noticeable upgrades. Galaxy S26 Plus leak hints at notable hardware changes
According to a new leak, Samsung may increase the Galaxy S26 Plus display size from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches. If accurate, this would place it on par with the Galaxy S26 Ultra in terms of screen real estate, potentially altering the Plus model’s positioning within the lineup. A larger panel could enhance viewing for streaming, gaming, and multitasking, making the Plus a more compelling option for users who want a big display without opting for the Ultra.

The same leak also suggests that Samsung could finally introduce Qi2 wireless charging support with built-in magnetic alignment. This would allow better accessory attachment and improved wireless charging efficiency, rather than relying only on magnet-equipped cases.
Camera specifications are another area where reports appear divided. Earlier leaks pointed to the retention of a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera on the Galaxy S26 Plus. The newer leak, however, mentions a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto sensor, which would mark a long-overdue upgrade for Samsung’s non-Ultra models.
Battery and charging details also continue to surface. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to support up to 60W wired charging, up from 45W previously, while the standard model may remain limited to 25W. The Plus is likely to sit between the two, paired with a large battery and next-generation flagship processors.
Galaxy S26 series launch timeframe (rumoured)
Reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 lineup will debut by the end of February 2026. If this timeline holds, the devices are likely to go on sale in March.
It is worth noting that the above-mentioned S26 Plus specs come from a lesser-known source, so the details should be viewed with some caution until further confirmation emerges.
