Just weeks after Samsung dropped its most advanced foldable yet – the Galaxy Z Fold 7 – and the pint-sized Z Flip 7 and 7 FE, attention is already shifting to the company’s next big monolith. Enter the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. While we’re months away from an official unveiling, early renders and leaks are already stirring speculation. Here’s everything that’s known about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Familiar silhouette, with a bold new twist
The renders come courtesy of serial tipster Ice Universe, and while the phone’s overall form doesn’t scream reinvention, it does hint at evolution. Specifically, Samsung appears to be revamping the camera module. The new design sports a raised, pill-shaped enclosure housing three vertically aligned cameras, flanked by a fourth sensor and LED flash off to the side.
If that looks familiar, it should. This camera style closely mirrors what we’ve already seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy S25 Edge, signaling Samsung’s intent to unify its design language across devices.
That raised camera bump may not be just for show. Word is that Samsung is working on packing in a larger HP2 main sensor, reportedly closer to an inch in size. What you get is better low-light performance and sharper detail without needing to over-process everything to oblivion.
What’s under the hood (if the leaks hold true)
While the renders tease the hardware, tipster Debayan Roy (aka Gadgetsdata) is offering up a leaked spec sheet that reads like a wishlist for power users.
According to this leak, the phone could pack a 6.9-inch flat Dynamic AMOLED display, which is a smidge larger than the current model, and an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite successor, dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 “For Galaxy”. If history’s any indicator, this chip will be custom-tuned to push performance.

On the camera front, the Ultra may roll out with a quad setup including a 200MP main shooter, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP periscope with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP telephoto with 3x zoom.
Samsung’s commitment to megapixels continues, but the real story may lie in how this setup handles image processing, stabilisation, and AI-assisted tuning.
The phone could also get a long-overdue charging upgrade. After years of being stuck at 45W, we might finally see 60W fast charging, breathing new life (and speed) into the already respectable 5,000mAh battery, if that capacity remains unchanged.
Slimmer, lighter, sharper
Another design detail worth noting; the upcoming Ultra may shed some bulk. Leaks suggest a slimmer 8mm chassis, down from 8.2mm, and a lighter overall footprint. If true, it signals a clear intent, to maintain flagship power without the pocket fatigue.

Of course, it’s early days. None of this is official; not even the name, so take all of this with a rather large pinch of salt. Samsung’s not breaking its silence anytime soon, and we’re still several firmware builds and cryptic teaser videos away from a confirmed spec list.
