Microsoft and Netflix are at it with a Stranger Things crossover, and this time the blocky world of Minecraft is getting the Upside Down treatment. The new DLC, developed by Blockception, has just dropped on the Minecraft Marketplace — and it comes just in time for the show’s final episode.
The DLC recreates key moments from all four seasons of the Netflix series, letting you explore Hawkins and its considerably creepier alternate dimension through custom-built levels.
Things are about to get upside down in the sandbox
You can discover Eleven hiding out in Mirkwood forest, battle Demogorgons underground, join up with the Scoop Troop for their Starcourt Mall shenanigans, and face off against Vecna when that grandfather clock starts chiming.
There are a bunch of new characters, too. Each of them comes with their own unique abilities that help with different quests throughout the adventure. Eleven brings her telekinetic powers to battles, Dr. Brenner can access restricted lab panels, and Suzie’s got the brains to crack encrypted codes. Eddie can run his iconic D&D campaign, and if you’re feeling villainous, you can even play as Vecna himself and use those mind control powers on your enemies.
That character switching mechanic is particularly useful for solo players. While the DLC clearly wants you to bring friends along for cooperative play, those going it alone can swap between characters to use whatever abilities a particular situation calls for. As you complete levels, Hawkins itself evolves and unlocks new adventures.

There is a catch, though. Nintendo Switch owners are completely locked out of this one. Mojang said it simply couldn’t deliver a quality experience on the platform, which pretty clearly points to performance issues with all those custom assets. Mobile players also need at least 6GB of RAM to run it properly.
The Stranger Things DLC for Minecraft Bedrock Edition is available now on the Minecraft Marketplace for 1510 Minecoins, which is roughly Rs 810.
