After announcing last month, the sequel to the widely downloaded Subway Surfers is finally available for Android and iOS devices as Subway Surfers City. Developed by SYBO games, the new title builds on the original endless running mode with fresh features and vibrant visuals.
Subway Surfers City now available worldwide
Subway Surfers City is free to play on Android and iOS devices with in-app purchases. It is compatible with Android 8.0 and above. The download size is more than 200MB depending on your device.
The game runs on iOS 16 or later and is requires 366MB storage. The App Store listing of the game also mentions that it can be playable on macOS 13.0 or later and iPadOS 16.0.
Unlike the original game’s globe-trotting world tour format, the latest sequel shifts to a dynamic, permanent metropolis called Subway City. There are four districts – The Docks, Southline, Sunrise Blvd, and Delorean Park, each with varied obstacles, paths, and rewards. SYBO confirmed that it will introduce more neighbourhoods, characters, outfits, and hoverboards down the line.

Along with the Classic Endless mode, there’s City Tour that is a level-based mode with mission objectives where players can explore districts and find hidden items.
Events mode are timed challenges designed to test seasoned players. Subway Surfers City also brings new gameplay mechanics including a ‘stomp’ move that uncovers hidden advantages and a bubblegum shield that improves jumping ability.
The original Subway Surfers has amassed more than 4.5 billion lifetime downloads since its release in 2012. If you were among one of those players, the latest sequel is worth trying out, considering the new modes, mechanics, and visuals.
