Tecno has announced a new Spark series smartphone in India. The Spark 50 5G is a budget offering that doesn’t compromise on key specifications and features. The device arrives as the successor to the Spark 40 that did not debut in the country. Read on to know what it offers out of the box.
Tecno Spark 50 5G specifications and pricing
The Tecno Spark 50 5G has a Google Pixel-like design with a camera bar on the back panel that has a pill-shaped cut out. It has a single 50MP primary sensor paired with an LED flash unit. The smartphone is claimed to have rugged durability with MIL-STD-810H drop-resistant certification and an IP64 rating against dust and water exposure. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.
The Tecno Spark 50 5G features a 6.78-inch display with an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. On the hardware front, it is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone draws its power from a 6,500 mAh battery unit with support for 45 W fast charging.

The Tecno Spark 50 5G ships with Android 16 OS with HiOS 6 skinned on top.
The smartphone comes with a UFS 3.0 technology that facilitates faster digital payments even when there is poor network connectivity. There is also a 4×4 MIMO antenna technology. The key highlight of this device is the decentralized communication feature that enables users to connect with nearby compatible devices without relying on cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. This system works within a range of up to 1.5 km.
The Tecno Spark 50 5G costs Rs 16,999 for the base 4GB + 64GB variant, and the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 18,999. The phone is offered in Fantasy Purple, Mint Green, Ink Black, and Champagne Gold colors. It can be purchased from Amazon and offline stores across the country from April 3rd.
