Google, in September, announced a new set of video editing tools in the Photos app and some of them are powered by AI, like video presets and auto-enhance. And you do not need the latest Google Pixel 9 phones to use these AI video editing tools, rather you can use these features for free on any Android smartphone.
In this article, we’ll show you how you can use all the new cool AI video editing tools in the Google Photos app.
Here’s how to use the new auto-enhance tool
Google Photos now has a new auto-enhance feature that analyses a video and automatically enhances it by applying colour shades and by stablising the footage. Here’s how to use the new auto-enhance tool.

Step 2: Tap on Edit.
Step 3: Tap on the 1x option and you should see all the speed options. You can set the speed from 1/4 to 4x. You can also choose a part of the clip to be fast or slow, instead of changing the pace of the entire video.

Here’s how to use video presets
Google, sometime back, also announced AI-powered video presets in the Photos app, and you can use the feature on both Android and iOS devices, unlike the above features that are exclusive to Android. Although the presets tool was announced long back, the feature is yet to show up on many devices. But once it does, here’s how you can use it.
