Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO tipped to launch a massive 12,000mAh battery phone

Battery race hits 12,000mAh

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO tipped to launch a massive 12,000mAh battery phone

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is tipped to launch a smartphone with a massive 12,000mAh battery. So far, Honor is the only mainstream brand to have launched multiple phones, such as the Honor Win series and Honor Power 2, equipped with 10,000mAh batteries.

Other Chinese smartphone makers are also catching up, as OnePlus and Redmi recently unveiled 9,000mAh battery phones like the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Now, a new leak suggests that Vivo is planning a device with an even larger battery than the ones currently available.

iQOO phone with 12,000mAh battery being tested

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo’s upcoming smartphone is being tested with a massive 10,000mAh rated battery. This is reportedly a 4.53V single-cell silicon battery.

Since this is the rated capacity, the typical capacity could range between 11,000mAh and 12,200mAh. The tipster also claims that this large battery is likely meant for a sub-brand device, as Vivo’s main lineup may not cross the 9,000mAh mark.

At present, it is too early to confirm which iQOO model could feature such a huge battery. In China, iQOO has already launched the Z11 Turbo with a 7,650mAh battery and is expected to unveil the iQOO Z11 with a 9,000mAh battery soon.

By mid-year, iQOO may introduce the iQOO Neo 11 Pro or Pro+ in China. Since it could be an upgraded version of the Neo 11, which has a 7,500mAh battery, it may not reach the 12,000mAh level.

iQOO Neo 12 could be the likely candidate

iQOO launched the iQOO 15 and iQOO Neo 11 in the last quarter of 2025 in China. These devices pack 7,000mAh and 7,500mAh batteries, respectively. Early rumours suggest that the iQOO 16 may see a significant battery increase this year, while the Neo 12 could feature an even larger battery similar to last year’s jump. Therefore, the Neo 12 appears to be a likely candidate to carry a 12,000mAh battery.

For now, this remains an early assumption, and more details about the mysterious 12,000mAh iQOO phone are expected to surface in the coming months.
