Vivo X200 FE is coming to light up the scene with a big battery, surprisingly slim frame

Smartphones usually ask you to choose – power or portability, battery or aesthetics. Vivo’s X200 FE might be one of the rare ones that refuses to compromise. The upcoming Vivo X200 FE is a mid-premium smartphone that’s already made its rounds in Taiwan and Malaysia and is now gearing up for its India launch.

And while it doesn’t come with flashy foldable screens or ultra-hyped AI tricks, it’s packing a spec sheet that makes you pause. It promises flagship-level performance, a massive battery, and a compact body that doesn’t weigh down your pocket, or your palm. Here’s what we know so far about this upcoming phone.

Vivo X200 FE India launch date

According to an online tipster, the Vivo X200 FE is set to reportedly launch in India on July 14. Vivo has yet to make it official, but if the source is right, the phone could be one of the month’s more practical, yet powerful, releases.

Vivo X200 FE: Everything known so far

Given that the X200 FE has been unveiled in Taiwan, we pretty much have all the details. Let’s delve into them. Now, in an industry where battery life often plays second fiddle to screen size or processor hype, the Vivo X200 FE is putting endurance front and centre.

The phone packs a massive 6,500mAh battery; but here’s the kicker, it’s housed in a surprisingly slim 7.99mm chassis. That’s thinner than many flagships running smaller cells.

With its compact 6.31-inch AMOLED display, Vivo claims you’ll get over 25 hours of YouTube playback and around 9.5 hours of gaming on a single charge. And when it does finally run low? 90W wired fast charging is on deck to jolt it back to life.

Under the hood is MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which puts it shoulder to shoulder with the year’s top-performing high-end Android phones, at least on paper. While most premium handsets are riding the Snapdragon wave, Vivo’s move could signal a deliberate effort to keep prices more grounded.

The Indian variant is expected to ship with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will run Funtouch OS 15 out of the box. While it hasn’t always been the cleanest UI in the game, the latest iteration has seen notable refinements with lighter visuals, improved multitasking, and better overall responsiveness.

Photography remains a major focus, and the X200 FE continues Vivo’s Zeiss-tuned ambitions. It sports a triple rear camera system, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. This combination is expected to cover most use cases with clarity and flair, especially with Zeiss in the mix.

The design isn’t just pretty, it’s practical too. The phone is tipped to feature both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, making it one of the few in this segment to double down on durability.

Unlike the global version that comes in Black, Pink, Blue, and Yellow, the Indian variant is expected to launch in three shades: Luxe Black, Amber Yellow, and Frost Blue – tailored to local preferences and teased through official-looking leaks.

There’s no official word on pricing yet, but expectations put it somewhere between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000. If Vivo plays the value card right, the X200 FE could land in the sweet spot for users looking beyond the usual OnePlus, iQOO, or Samsung alternatives.
