Whirlpool has announced its No Tension Refrigerators range in India, introducing a new approach to single door cooling. The lineup is designed to make everyday usage simpler while reducing the effort required for routine maintenance.
Automatic defrosting and smart cooling features
Whirlpool’s new VitamagicPro and Impro Plus models are designed to address a common issue with single door refrigerators, which is the need for manual defrosting. This process often involves switching off the appliance, clearing stored items, and waiting for ice to melt, making it time-consuming.
With the new range, automatic defrosting is handled through 6th Sense IntelliFrost Technology, which detects ice build-up and clears it without user intervention. Alongside this, the refrigerators include multiple cooling modes that can be adjusted depending on usage. Users can switch between different cooling levels, speed up ice formation when required, or reduce energy consumption during low usage periods.
These features are intended to make daily operation more flexible without adding complexity. The range also focuses on maintaining food freshness for longer durations
Microblock Technology helps reduce bacterial growth inside the refrigerator, while the Impro Plus models are said to keep produce fresh for up to 15 days. The Vitamagic range, on the other hand, supports up to 12 days of freshness and includes Zeolite Technology, which helps slow down the ripening process by managing ethylene levels.
Price and availability
The new Whirlpool No Tension Refrigerators are available in capacities ranging from 192L to 274L, with prices starting at Rs 17,700. The lineup will be sold across retail stores and online platforms in India, with multiple energy rating options available to suit different requirements.
