Whirlpool Protton NXT 3-door refrigerator launched with enhanced freshness, energy efficiency

Whirlpool has announced the Protton NXT 3-door refrigerator in India. As the name suggests, it comes with three doors, each serving its own purpose, offering enhanced cooling while helping users organise contents more efficiently. It is also equipped with Whirlpool’s innovative technologies such as Fastest Convertible, 6th Sense, and Ozone Refresh.

Compared to conventional 2-door refrigerators, the Whirlpool Protton NXT 3-door refrigerator promises up to 43 percent less cold air loss. This helps maintain stable internal temperatures and ensures consistent cooling across compartments. Thanks to its 3-door configuration, it also offers 40 per cent more space for storing fruits and vegetables, making it suitable for larger families.

The Fresh Flow vents inside ensure 360-degree uniform airflow across all compartments. The company claims that the Protton NXT’s Microblock Technology can keep food fresh for up to 15 days by reducing bacterial growth by 99 percent. This feature is aimed at preserving food quality for longer durations.

Another important highlight is the Active Deo system, which prevents odour mixing between compartments. This ensures that food retains its natural taste and aroma over time. There is also FreshNXT technology, which removes excess moisture from fruits and vegetables, thereby prolonging their shelf life.

According to the brand, the Protton NXT is energy-efficient with a 4-star rating as per 2026 BEE standards. It promises significantly lower energy consumption compared to conventional refrigerators. In terms of design, the Protton NXT sports a simple yet elegant finish that blends easily into modern kitchens.

The Whirlpool Protton NXT 3-door refrigerator has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 27,500. It is available for purchase through both online and offline retail stores across the country.
