MWC 2026 had some truly quirky gadgets; here are 5 that stood out

MWC 2026 has wrapped up, and this year too was packed with tech gadgets across categories. We’ve covered some of the coolest phones from MWC, but the expo was not only about smartphones. There were some truly wild and quirky gadgets that felt straight out of a sci‑fi universe.

From a foldable gaming handheld to the cute puppy-eyed robot arm, here are five of the coolest and quirkiest gadgets from MWC 2026.

A foldable gaming handheld

Gaming handhelds are getting bigger every year. So, Lenovo decided to do something unexpected. It made one that folds.

The Lenovo Legion Go Fold concept features a foldable display that opens up into a larger screen for gaming.

When you are done, the entire device folds in half, making it easier to carry around compared to bulky handheld PCs. It runs Windows and can be detached as well, making it a 2-in-1 portable device.

A tiny robot for your desk

Besides the folding handheld, another eye-catching concept from Lenovo was a small AI-powered desk robot that’s designed to sit next to your computer.

It features puppy eyes when on stand-by, and can show notifications, help with reminders and react with expressive movements that make it feel more like a tiny coworker than a gadget.

An AI pendant

AI assistants usually live inside our phones. Motorola’s Maxwell concept imagines something different. This wearable acts like a personal AI companion that stays with you all day.

Well, it may remind you of the Humane AI Pin, and that’s because it’s almost the same idea, but Motorola’s AI device is actually a pendant.

A phone that dances

Most smartphones are about winning the specs and features race, but this one from Honor was a surprise. The Honor Robot phone is a concept device that can literally move and dance.

It features a 200MP 3-axis gimbal camera and is packed with AI, and together they allow the phone to see and interact with the world physically. It can react to music and gestures, making it playful, strange, and, honestly, quite fun.

Of course, it’s not practical, but surely quirky enough to be on this list.

Electric sports car that stole the show

Xiaomi aimed big with the electric sports car concept at MWC this year. The Xiaomi Vision GT looks like it belongs at a Formula racing track instead of a tech exhibition.

The car is built around extreme performance, with 1,900 horsepower, and is packed with the company’s smart ecosystem ideas. While it’s still a concept for now, you’ll be able to drive it on Gran Turismo 7 on PS5.
