Alienware QD-OLED 27, 32-inch monitors launched in India

Dell‘s sub-brand for gamers, Alienware, has just unveiled its two latest additions to the QD-OLED gaming monitor lineup in India – namely the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED and the Alienware 27 360 HZ QD-OLED. Here’s all you need to know.

What are QD-OLED displays?

Before we go dive into the key specifications of the monitors themselves, it would perhaps be a good idea to understand just what QD-OLED displays are. QD-OLED displays, in simple terms, combine the best qualities of the self-illuminating pixels of OLED displays with quantum dots.

Quantum dots are nanocrystals that emit red or green light when struck with blue light, allowing for increased saturation of red, blue, and green colours on a display, which are the primary colours used to make millions of others.

A QD-OLED display then, is one with the brightness and contrasts of an OLED screen, and the colours produced by a quantum dot display, providing for a truly immersive gaming or viewing experience.

Alienware 32 QD-OLED: Features and specifications
