Echo Show 11, Echo Show 8 (Gen 4) launched in India with smarter home automation

Amazon has announced the Amazon Echo Show 11 and Amazon Echo Show 8 (Gen 4) to expand its smart display lineup in India. The new offerings bring refreshed design, improved hardware, and deeper smart home integration. Here’s a look at the key details about the new smart displays.

Echo Show 11, Echo Show 8 (Gen 4): Key features

The Echo Show 11 and the fourth-generation Echo Show 8 are built around the company’s Omnisense custom sensor platform, designed to enable context-aware smart home routines.

Powered by the AZ3 Pro chip, these devices use inputs from multiple sensors, including a 13MP camera, audio sensors, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, accelerometer, and Wi-Fi CSI. This allows actions such as adjusting compatible lights when someone enters a room or triggering routines based on room temperature. Users can configure these routines using the Alexa app.

The Echo Show 11 features an 11-inch FHD display, while the Echo Show 8 comes with an 8.7-inch HD screen. Both offer a larger viewing area compared to previous generations. Ambient visuals automatically adapt based on surroundings to improve viewing comfort across different lighting conditions.

In the audio department, both devices adopt a new audio architecture with front-firing dual speakers paired with a custom woofer. The sound output is designed to fill a room with spatial audio, delivering clear vocals and deeper bass.

With a 13MP camera onboard, the Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 support video calls with centred auto-framing and noise reduction, helping keep conversations clear and focused.

Users can also stream music, shows, and videos from supported platforms using touch controls or Alexa voice commands. The displays can show multiple live camera feeds on a single screen when paired with compatible security devices. In terms of design, both models feature an edge-to-edge display with slimmer bezels and a 3D-knit fabric finish, giving them a more premium look.

Echo Show 11, Echo Show 8 (Gen 4): Price and availability

The Echo Show 11 is priced at Rs 26,999, while the Echo Show 8 (Gen 4) costs Rs 23,999. Both devices are available in Graphite and Glacier White colour options and can be purchased through leading online platforms, including Croma.
