Rumours have been doing the rounds on the internet that Ubisoft is working on a Black Flag remake. Today’s update coming from Ubisoft confirms that it is indeed in development. The blog post only has a concept art of the game with protagonist Edward Kenway standing in the yard of the ship.
The poster also confirms the remake’s name at the bottom right side. It will be called Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
The original was released for PlayStation, Xbox, Google Stadia, Nintendo, and PC platforms. The game is also backward compatible and playable on the latest-generation PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles.
Black Flag Resynced is expected to come with improved graphics and modern gameplay systems. The game’s release date remains unclear for now. More information is expected in the coming months.
Ubisoft also confirmed other Assassin’s Creed projects in the pipeline. There’s Assassin’s Creed Codenamed Hexe set during a pivotal moment in history with a unique, darker, narrative-driven experience. Meanwhile, Codename Invictus is a PvP multiplayer experience.
