With so many TV brands operating in India, it’s often hard to determine which one will be better suited to your needs. The list below aims only to simplify the choice for you by narrowing down the list to the best reviewed and top TV brands here. We hope that this information helps you make an easier decision.

LG
When it comes to premium image quality, you just can’t go wrong with an LG OLED. LG’s C series are now legendary and considered by many to be the pinnacle of image quality in the home TV space. LG’s WebOS is also considered to be among the best native smart TV interfaces out there and works great with LG’s premium TVs. The UI is, however, reported to be sluggish on lower end TVs. LG does offer mid-range and budget TVs, mostly models that use IPS and VA panels, but these face stiff competition from a variety of different brands and aren’t always the best value.
Croma
Croma’s brand of TVs are a great buy for those looking for good value. Panel quality and features are on par with competing brands, but what makes Croma’s TVs stand out isn’t necessarily image quality, but the overall shopping and support experience. Croma has an online presence of course, but what stands out is the offline experience at dedicated Croma stores. These offer helpful staff and the opportunity to try products in person, which is very useful when picking out a TV.

Samsung
Samsung TVs aren’t really in need of an introduction. These are ubiquitous and usually of good quality. Samsung offers products in just about every price category and the TVs themselves integrate well into the Samsung ecosystem. As with LG, Samsung’s proprietary TV OS called Tizen is sluggish on cheaper models but works great on the premium ones, which is why here as well it makes more sense to focus on the premium models.
Samsung’s service network is of course quite vast so you’ll be guaranteed support virtually anywhere in India.
Hisense
This brand might not be as well known as some of the others, but Hisense’s TVs are usually very good value thanks to premium features such as miniLED and 1000-nit HDR offered at bargain-basement prices. There are issues with Hisense’s built-in Vidaa OS and support isn’t as great as it is for other brands, but for the money you’re saving and the features you’re getting, it’s hard to go wrong with one of these models if you want top-of-the-line features.

Sony
Lastly, we have Sony. Sony’s TVs are excellent across the range, with its high-end Bravia models in particular being standouts. Sony’s strength lies in its excellent upscaling tech and well calibrated displays that deliver image quality as the filmmakers intended. These TVs play very well with Sony’s suite of products, including the PlayStation 5 and Sony’s Bravia Home Theatre line. As with many of the other legacy brands on this list, Sony’s premium TVs are the ones to focus on as there’s simply too much competition in the budget and mid-range spaces. Being a legacy brand, Sony also has a large service network so your servicing needs will usually be taken care of.
If you’re in the market for a new TV, picking one from these brands is a no-brainer, but that’s not to say that other brands are bad either. If you’re unsure, we’d recommend heading to a nearby Croma store and checking out the TVs in person before making a decision. The hands-on experience together with the guidance from Croma’s experts should help you make a more informed decision.
