WhatsApp has made it easier for you to block unwanted numbers. However, there are two ways you can block spam and unwanted senders on WhatsApp. The first method is the easier one, but you can always use the second method to block contacts in bulk.
Method 1
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your iPhone or Android phone, and open the chat with the unwanted number.
Step 2: Tap on the contact number at the top.
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and hit Block.
Step 4: Tap ‘Block’ to simply block the contact or ‘Block and report’ to report a spam account.

Method 2
Step 1: Open WhatsApp and head to Settings.
Step 2: Tap Privacy and click on Contacts.
Step 3: Click on Blocked and tap on the ‘Add new…’ option.
Step 4: Now, you can scroll all the way to the bottom to see all unsaved contact numbers. Just tap on the number that you want to block, and that number should be blocked.
