Forza Horizon 6 gameplay shows Japan’s breathtaking landscapes, cars, and more

It’s a good day for the Forza fans. Turn 10 has shared the first look at Forza Horizon 6 during the latest Developer Direct showcase. The new gameplay trailer highlights what’s coming in Playground Games’ next major open-world racing title and sets the stage for one of the biggest Horizon games yet.

From new race tracks to scenic mountain road, and the new workshop system, here’s everything you can expect in Forza Horizon 6.

What’s new in Forza Horizon 6?

The new trailer confirms that the game is built around the landscapes and culture of Japan, with urban streets, scenic mountain roads, and coastal highways. The game will introduce features designed to make exploration and progression feel more personal.

Interestingly, unlike the previous Forza games, players in Forza Horizon 6 begin their journey not as a racing legend but as a visitor to the race tracks, and they can win big through the Horizon Festival ranks.

The familiar wristband progression is returning, giving purpose to races and challenges as you work your way up. The developers are also adding a new feature called the Collection Journal, which introduces a fresh way to explore.

Inspired by Japan’s tradition of stamp collecting, it lets players discover and record landmarks, murals and points of interest as they travel the world. This turns every corner of the map into a place worth seeing.

Another new addition, which is a first for Forza Horizon games, is The Estate. It’s a large plot of land that you can transform into your base. Think of it like a car workshop of your own. You can build personalised layouts, tracks and hangouts for friends to visit.
