Hotkeys that'll change the way you play Minecraft

Must-know Minecraft hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts

Knowing your way around hotkeys in Minecraft: Java Edition can make a huge difference in how you play. Unlike the Bedrock Edition, the Java Edition of the game offers deeper customisation, advanced mechanics, and powerful debug tools. However, to take full advantage of them, you need to master keyboard shortcuts. These let you debug efficiently, tweak game settings on the fly, and navigate menus without slowing down.

With so many mechanics and features to manage, getting around Minecraft can take time, unless you use hotkeys to speed things up. Instead of manually clearing your inventory, for example, a quick key combo wipes it out in seconds. And that’s just one of many shortcuts that make the gameplay smoother and more efficient. In this guide, we’ll go over all the must-know Minecraft hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts to help you play like a pro.
