iOS 26 is out and it changes the way you snap photos. We aren’t talking about the redesigned camera app, but rather a new feature that lets you click photos with the help of AirPods. Sounds fancy? It definitely is, but it’s also convenient, and once you try it, you can’t go back.
So, if you want to be a little fancy, while adding convenience to your photography experience, here’s how you can turn your AirPods into a camera shutter button.
How to turn AirPods into a camera shutter button
iOS 26 brings the new Camera Remote feature, and it lets you click photos from your iPhone with AirPods by performing gestures. But it’s worth noting that the feature only works with AirPods that have an H2 chip, like the AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and the new AirPods Pro 3.
Step 1: First, you need to pair your AirPods with your iPhone that’s running on iOS 26.
Step 2: Now, head to Settings and search for a feature called Camera Remote.
Step 3: Select gesture for Camera Control – ‘Press once’ or ‘Press and hold’. These are pretty much self-explanatory, as you can click photos with a single press or a press and hold.
Step 4: Now, open the camera app, and press once or press and hold, depending on the option you chose, and your iPhone should click a photo.
Now, that’s super convenient. This ability is great for those who want to click selfies of their group, while listening to music. What do you think about this feature? Do let us know in the comments below.
