How to find and view liked reels on Instagram: A step-by-step guide

As one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, Instagram needs no introduction. Short videos called reels – the most popular form of content on the platform – flood our feed and it’s easy to get lost in that never-ending cascade of clips.

One of the downside to the popularity of this format, though, is that these clips can seem ephemeral. You might like a dozen or more reels per session, but getting back to those very same liked reels might seem impossible, like they’ve just disappeared into the void that is Instagram’s algorithmically generated feed.

Fret not, for that is most certainly not the case, but the method of accessing them can seem more convoluted than it needs to be. Here’s how you access a list of all your liked reels.

Find and view liked reels on the Instagram app for Android and iOS

Open Instagram. Tap on your profile icon in the bottom right of the screen. Tap the menu icon on the top right of your profile page. Scroll down to ‘Your Activity’ and tap on it. Tap on ‘Likes’ in the page that opens up.

You can now view all posts and reels that you liked on Instagram. To view only liked reels, tap on the ‘All Content Types’ icon. Deselect ‘Posts’ and ‘Threads’. Tap on ‘Apply’. You’re now viewing only your liked reels on Instagram from newest to oldest. You can filter your likes by date, and also sort them from newest to oldest or vice versa using the menu icons above the liked reels

Find and view liked reels on Instagram for web

Head to Instagram.com and sign in to your account. Click on the ‘More’ icon at the bottom left of the screen. Click on ‘Your Activity’ in the pop-up menu. You will now see all your liked reels and posts.

Unfortunately, the web version of Instagram doesn’t give you the option to filter only liked reels and you’ll see all your liked posts as well. Clicking on the ‘Sort & Filter’ button will give you options to sort the list by newest to oldest or oldest to newest, and also to select a specific date or date range.

As you can see, Instagram does give you the option of viewing and sorting your liked reels, but the process isn’t as intuitive as it could have been.
