While Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 series last month in India, the rumour mill has been leaking details about the upcoming iPhone 18 series for the past few months. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed that the iPhone 18 Pro series will arrive with improvements in low-light photography. Additionally, he also tipped the iPhone 18 series launch roadmap.
iPhone 18 Pro series details tipped
Citing supply chain sources, DCS claimed that Apple is expected to further differentiate and strengthen the Pro lineup with the iPhone 18 series. The leak reveals that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will receive a major camera upgrade featuring a variable aperture for improved light control. The Pro Max edition is also said to feature an enhanced periscope telephoto camera rated around 48MP with a larger aperture.
A report by Apple analyst Jeff Pu, which surfaced in June this year, revealed that the iPhone 18 Pro series and Apple’s first foldable phone will feature the Apple A20 chip, a significant upgrade over the A9.
The A20, said to be built on TSMC’s 2nm process, will include more transistors, resulting in a major performance boost. Supporting leaks have claimed that the series may arrive with up to 12GB of RAM.
iPhone 18 series launch timeframe (rumoured)
In terms of the launch schedule, the current plan indicates that Apple will introduce the iPhone 18 Pro series alongside a new lightweight “Air” model and Apple’s first foldable iPhone around September 2026.

The standard iPhone 18 and a more affordable iPhone 18e are expected to follow in the first half of 2027.
iPhone 20 series rumours
The year 2027 will also mark the 20th anniversary of Apple iPhones. A recent report revealed that the company may skip the iPhone 19 series and jump directly to the iPhone 20 series in September 2027. The lineup is expected to comprise a third-generation iPhone Air model, the iPhone 20 Pro, the iPhone 20 Max, and a second-generation foldable iPhone.
Apart from the iPhone 20 series, Apple is also said to be working on a flip-style foldable phone, though it isn’t expected anytime soon, as rumours suggest a 2028 launch timeline.
