iQOO launched the iQOO 15 this week, and it’s the brand’s most powerful smartphone this year. But it rivals Samsung’s Galaxy S25 for its asking price, and that’s what has made many buyers confused between the two.

iQOO 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25: Design and display

The iQOO 15 has a more aggressive styling when compared with the Galaxy S25. It gets a square camera island on the rear, whereas the S25 goes for a vertical camera positioning, making it look more minimal. 

The iQOO 15 is spec’d out with a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate support. It gets 6,000 nits of peak brightness. The S25, on the other hand, has a smaller 6.2-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits of peak brightness. 

While iQOO hasn’t mentioned the glass used for protection, Samsung has confirmed that the S25 gets Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, which is quite strong. 

iQOO 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25: Cameras

In terms of cameras, both the iQOO 15 and the Galaxy S25 feature a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor. But the iQOO gets two additional 50MP sensors for ultrawide and telephoto shots.

The Galaxy S25 gets a 10MP telephoto and a 12MP ultra-wide unit. Both phones support 8K video recording. The duo also comes with AI-editing features in the photo gallery.

iQOO 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25: Performance, battery, software

Performance-wise, the iQOO 15 is more powerful with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The Galaxy S25 draws power from the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is still quite powerful. It gets up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The iQOO 15 also packs a larger 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless fast charging. The S25 is a compact flagship; hence, it gets a smaller 4,000mAh cell with 25W wired and 15W wireless fast charging.

The S25 runs Android 15, but supports seven years of OS and security updates. The iQOO 15, on the other hand, boots on the new Android 16, but gets five years of OS and seven years of security update promise.

Overall, for Rs 72,999, the iQOO 15 is a more performance-driven smartphone, making it excellent for gaming and heavy tasks. The Galaxy S25, for Rs 80,999, is a compact flagship that balances it all with minimalism.
