iQOO has a couple of new smartphones lined up for the market. Apart from the iQOO 15R, which is scheduled to launch on February 24, the brand is also said to be working on new Z-series mid-range phones.
Ahead of the iQOO 15R’s launch, the company has been confirming its key specifications, with the latest reveal focusing on its primary camera. Meanwhile, a report by PassionateGeekz has revealed the monikers and model numbers of the upcoming Z-series devices.
iQOO 15R’s primary camera revealed
Previous reports claimed that the iQOO 15R would be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive iQOO Z11 Turbo. However, a new update shared by the brand today confirms that there will be one major difference in the camera department. While the Z11 Turbo features a 200MP main camera, the iQOO 15R is confirmed to pack a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with OIS support.
The rest of the iQOO 15R’s specifications are expected to remain similar to those of the Z11 Turbo. It is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and backed by a 7,600mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
iQOO’s upcoming Z11-series lineup
According to the abovementioned report, the iQOO Z11 5G and the iQOO Z11 Lite 5G have appeared in the IMEI database. The listings confirm that the standard variant has model number I2512, while the Lite version has model number I2510.
Additionally, the iQOO Z11x 5G was recently spotted on a Malaysian certification platform with model number I2507. Unfortunately, the specifications of these devices remain under wraps for now. That said, the Z11-series lineup is expected to debut within the first half of this year.
