OnePlus has confirmed the launch of the OnePlus 15T in China. It will be the second compact flagship phone from the brand and join the more premium OnePlus 15. The upcoming device was confirmed by the OnePlus Community Manager on microblogging platform Weibo. It will be arriving as the successor to the last year’s OnePlus 13T.
OnePlus confirms its upcoming compact flagship
OnePlus executive Shuai Lan teased the OnePlus 15T as a dream phone for small-screen enthusiasts. It will provide industry-leading performance and battery life along with system smoothness, gaming performance, imaging capabilities, screen quality, and charging experience.
Although the phone’s existence has been confirmed, its exact launch timeline remains a mystery. The OnePlus 15T was unveiled last April in its home country, so its successor could also see a similar release window. There are also some rumours of the phone’s debut as early as next month.
The OnePlus 15T is likely expected to debut in India as OnePlus 15s. Its predecessor did not make its way to other global markets but the brand’s plans may change anytime. There are slightly differences between the China variant and the Indian model in terms of specifications.
As per leaks and rumours, the OnePlus 15T will retain the same form factor and a 6.32-inch screen albeit with an upgraded 165Hz refresh rate. The phone is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and a bumped up battery up to 7,500mAh with support for 100W wired and wireless charging. The upcoming offering is also tipped to come with a magnetic cooling accessory.
