OnePlus Ace 6T debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, humungous 8,300mAh battery

OnePlus has introduced the Ace 6T in China as the first-ever phone powered by the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Positioned above the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered OnePlus Ace 6, which debuted in October in China, this new phone will set the stage for what may eventually power the next OnePlus R-series model in global markets. OnePlus Ace 6T: Specs and features

The OnePlus Ace 6T features a 6.83-inch OLED display that delivers a 1.5K resolution and supports a 165Hz refresh rate for ultra-fluid gaming and scrolling. An ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor handles biometric security, and the phone runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 layered on top.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of UFS 4.0, ensuring fast load times and smooth multitasking.

OnePlus has equipped the phone with an 8,300mAh battery, the largest ever seen on a OnePlus phone so far, supported by 100W wired charging. For an enhanced gaming experience, the Ace 6T includes dual speakers, NFC, and an X-axis linear motor to enhance haptic response during gameplay.

For photography, the Ace 6T offers a 16MP front camera and a dual rear system with a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with OIS support and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The phone offers other features, such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, and an IP68/69-rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis.

OnePlus Ace 6T: Price and availability

The Ace 6T launches in China in multiple memory configurations: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The device carries a starting price of CNY 2,399 (~Rs 30,600).

Colour choices include Fresh Black, Electric Violet, and Fleeting Green, along with a special Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka edition for fans of the franchise. This special edition model comes in 16 GB+1 TB trim and is priced at CNY 3,699 (~Rs 47,200).

OnePlus 15R expectations

A version of the Ace 6T, likely with minor adjustments, is expected to launch in India and other regions under the OnePlus 15R name. The 15R is officially set to debut alongside the OnePlus Pad Go 2 5G tablet on December 17.
