Oppo has thrown down the gauntlet in India’s mid-range market with its new F31 series, a trio of devices that blur the line between rugged endurance machines and stylish everyday smartphones.
The lineup includes the Oppo F31, Oppo F31 Pro, and the high-end Oppo F31 Pro+, all built to survive spills, drops, and marathons of scrolling thanks to 7,000 mAh batteries, IP69 dust and water ressistance, and military-grade armour. Here’s everything you need to know about Oppo’s latest trio of rugged phones.
Oppo F31: Features and specs
The entry-level Oppo F31 doesn’t play it budget. It packs a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with a silky 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Energy chip. A vapour cooling chamber keeps things running smooth, while up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage give it some respectable multitasking muscle. For battery, it houses a huge 7,000mAh cell with 80W fast charging.
Cameras are straightforward but capable. You get a 50MP OIS main shooter paired with a 2MP helper, plus a 16MP selfie lens. Extra brownie points go to underwater photography and videography modes, perfect for poolside experiments. The whole setup runs on ColorOS 15, with Oppo promising two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.
Oppo F31 Pro: Features and specs
Stepping up, the F31 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset, paired with a beefier 12GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Oppo has added its larger SuperCool VC thermal system to keep the phone temperatures in check even when gaming or filming.
Speaking of filming, the F31 Pro is the sweet spot for camera fans. It gets a 50MP main camera backed by 4K video recording, with a sharp 32MP selfie shooter that also handles 4K. The same 7,000 mAh battery and 80W charging make appearances here, too.
Oppo F31 Pro+: Features and specs
The Pro+ is where Oppo stops holding back. It stretches to a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel (still 120Hz), swaps in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and keeps the SuperCool VC system to balance the performance push. Memory tops out at 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and the camera setup mirrors the Pro with a 50MP rear, 32MP front camera, with 4K across the board. The 7,000mAh cell makes an appearance here too.
Similarly, durability is a big calling card on all three F31 series phones. All three of them come with IP66, IP68, and even IP69 water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification. Oppo calls it a 360-degree Armour Body, promising enhanced durability and protection from everyday accidents.
Oppo F31, F31 Pro, F31 Pro+ price and availability
Oppo is keeping pricing aggressive for the spec sheet it’s offering. The F31 5G lands at Rs 22,999, the F31 Pro 5G at Rs 26,999, and theF31 Pro+ comes in at Rs 32,999. All three go on sale September 19 across Oppo’s own store, e-commerce platforms, and retail stores like Croma.
In a sea of look-alike mid-rangers, Oppo’s F31 series feels designed for those who value stamina and durability without sacrificing a bit of flair. Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for the latest in the world of tech.
