Oppo will unveil the Oppo Find X9 Ultra for the global market, including China, on April 21. Alongside it, the company is also likely to introduce other products such as the Find X9s Pro and two tablets, namely the Oppo Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini. A recent leak has revealed what to expect from the Pad Mini, which will be Oppo’s compact tablet.
Oppo Pad Mini key specifications leaked
According to the latest leak, the Oppo Pad Mini may feature an 8.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels. The screen is said to support a 144Hz refresh rate along with adaptive scaling, and peak brightness could reach up to 1,800 nits.
The tablet is also expected to adopt a 3:2 aspect ratio, which may be better suited for reading and productivity tasks compared to conventional layouts. The panel could deliver improved colour reproduction and contrast, making it suitable for both work and entertainment.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, placing it in the flagship category despite its compact size. This could allow smoother multitasking, gaming, and handling of demanding applications without performance drops.
The Oppo Pad Mini is also expected to pack an 8,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. Despite this large battery, the device could remain lightweight at around 279 grams and feature a slim metal unibody design, making it easy to carry and use for extended periods.
For optics, the tablet may include a 13MP rear camera, which is typical for its category. Connectivity features could include eSIM support, allowing users to stay connected without relying entirely on Wi-Fi.
Oppo Pad Mini availability
If the leaks are accurate, the Oppo Pad Mini could emerge as a strong competitor to compact tablets like Apple’s iPad mini, offering a premium display and flagship-level performance in a smaller form factor.
