Pre-bookings for Samsung’s upcoming flagship series officially open in India

South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced that it will be taking the wraps off of its next flagship smartphone at the Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for the 1st of February, 2023.

While nearly three weeks remain for perhaps its most anticipated event for the year, Samsung has already opened a pre-booking window for those interested in purchasing the device in India and has provided a few additional befits as well.

Those interested in pre-booking the latest flagship Samsung device can do so via Samsung’s official website in India. In addition to getting their hands on the smartphone before others, buyers will also be given e-vouchers worth up to INR 5,000. Pre-booking the smartphone will additionally make customers eligible to avail of the same in special colours, exclusively available on the company’s website.

Customers can also avail of a welcome voucher worth INR 2,000 as well as 2 per cent loyalty points via the Samsung Shop app on pre-booking. There is a condition on this voucher, details of which are not known as of yet. The name, however, suggests that the offer could be for those who haven’t previously used a Samsung device or haven’t used the company’s shopping app earlier.

The upcoming Samsung flagship can be pre-booked by a token amount of INR 2000 upfront, which will be deducted while paying the rest of the amount later. In addition to the website, customers can walk into their nearest certified Samsung store to do the same.

Samsung has been tight-lipped about details regarding details about the specifications and design of their latest flagship line-up. However, it is expected that the brand will unveil three variants this year. These include a plain vanilla base variant, which will replace the Samsung Galaxy S22 , a Plus variant with a larger display and battery, which will succeed the S22 Plus, and a top-of-the-line Ultra variant expected to replace the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra .

The top-of-the-line variant is expected to sport a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which may feature up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The device is also expected to offer an all-new triple camera set up at the rear, with a 200MP primary shooter, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

While the base variants may not feature a 200MP primary lens, they are still expected to sport flagship-level 50MP cameras, as was the case with last year’s S22 series.

Under the hood, Samsung’s latest flagships are expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for up to 25W fast charging. Lastly, the devices will be running on the latest Android 13-based OneUI 5.0 (or OneUI 5.1) skin, out of the box.
