Quick Share to AirDrop file transfer is coming to more Android phones

Last week, we were all surprised by Pixel 10’s latest ability that lets you make Quick Share to AirDrop file transfers in a seamless manner. Now, Snapdragon has confirmed that this feature is coming to Snapdragon-powered devices as well. And it appears that we’ll see an Android-wide rollout soon. Excited? Here’s everything you need to know.

Android to iPhone file transfer is about to be seamless

Qualcomm confirmed that Snapdragon-powered devices will soon support Quick Share to AirDrop file transfers. However, the feature is yet to be enabled; Snapdragon plans to enable it soon. Although it’s unclear what kind of hardware it needs.

Nonetheless, this ability will ensure that new Snapdragon devices are easily able to share files with iPhones using Quick Share. Now that Snapdragon has confirmed this feature’s availability, it’s a matter of time until manufacturers like Samsung, OnePlus, and others confirm this feature’s wider rollout.

Android to iPhone file sharing has always been controversial, as there wasn’t a proper way to quickly share high-quality files. You had to rely on apps like WhatsApp and Telegram to share such files. But now, with this ability, both Android and iOS users can share files without any workarounds.
