In a crowded field of flagship killers, it can be hard to make a device stand out. Some brands slap fresh colours or unique designs, while others rely on solid hardware. Realme’s latest smartphone, however, the Realme GT 7 Dream Edition, goes a step further; it blends design, power, and personality into a package that will make fans drool.
This isn’t just another high-performance phone; it’s a statement piece for F1 fans, especially those with a soft spot for Aston Martin.
From its design language to its finely tuned internals, the GT 7 Dream Edition blends racing DNA with flagship-grade finesse. We used the phone for over a week, and here is our Realme GT 7 Dream Edition review.
Realme GT 7 Dream Edition: Design and display
The first thing that grabs your eye when you get the device out of the box is this vibrant Aston Martin Racing Green colour. It’s not flashy or overdone; it has this clean, premium look that shifts subtly under light. Realme says it’s made using a three-layer process, and honestly, it shows!
In the box, you get a special-edition case that adds both grip and flair. There’s also an Aston Martin-themed SIM ejector tool and a collector-worthy booklet that completes the premium unboxing experience.
The display on the GT 7 Dream Edition is a large 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, and everything on it just pops. Whether you are watching F1 replays or casually scrolling through social, media it’s not just great to look at but also smooth, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate support.
One thing we immediately noticed after we took it for a spin outdoors was how bright it was. Despite being a sunny day, the 6,000 nits of peak brightness kept everything on-screen easily legible. More about the screen, the bezels are super thin, which adds to the overall experience.
Realme GT 7 Dream Edition: Cameras
Coming to the cameras, the GT 7 Dream Edition packs a 50MP Sony main sensor with OIS, and it delivers sharp, contrast-rich photos in both daylight and low light. There’s also a 50MP telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor assisting the main camera; they both are pretty good in the daylight.

While all cameras do a good job, the results aren’t that consistent. For instance, you click the photo of the sky twice, and the colours subtly change in the second photo. A bit of tuning would help here.
One finer detail here is that there’s an Aston Martin watermark that appears on all your photos, which is quite cool. The device can shoot 4K, and the videos turned out decent. Low-light videos aren’t that impressive, when compared to some other phones in the sub-Rs 50,000 range, but it does the job.
The Realme GT 7 Dream Edition: Performance, battery, software
The Realme GT 7 Dream Edition is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The result is a phone that performed exceptionally well across the board, including casual everyday usage to something intense, like gaming.
Speaking of gaming, we played Genshin Impact on this one, and the experience was consistently smooth. Even in day-to-day usage, there were no lags or stutters. What’s great is that in continuous usage, the device didn’t get as hot as a frying pan, although it did get a bit warm, which is normal for a performance-centric photo.
Moving to the battery, the 7,000mAh battery inside the GT 7 Dream Edition is no joke. It’s a monstrous battery, and it lasted over two days with moderate usage.
This involved scrolling Instagram Reels, texting on WhatsApp, and watching a couple of YouTube videos. Charging the phone up was quick. It supports 120W fast charging, and it can charge the device from 0 to 50 per cent under 20 minutes.
Overall, the 7,000mAh battery is the one that makes you forget about charging altogether. But for top-ups, there’s that 120W backup.

With the GT 7 Dream Edition, it’s not just about powerful hardware; the software experience also holds up here. It runs on Android 15 with Realme UI 6 on top, and everything feels smooth, responsive, and well-optimised.
There are a bunch of useful features baked in, such as smart folders and cleaner multitasking. Since it’s a GT series phone, it’s free from an clutter.

The Realme GT 7 Dream Edition is truly for F1 fans who want a collectable, but also want a phone that delivers on everyday performance, battery life, and style. It’s not just a themed phone either. It’s a flagship-esque device wrapped in motorsport flair.
