Realme is reportedly working on the Realme GT 9 series of flagship phones for China. Just as the brand unveiled the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro in October 2025, it may announce the GT 9 and GT 9 Pro in the same month this year. A new leak by reliable tipster Smart Pikachu has revealed the camera capabilities of both phones.
Realme GT 9 series’ early camera details emerge
According to the tipster, the Realme GT 9 series will feature dual 200MP cameras. To recall, the GT 8 Pro debuted last year as Realme’s first flagship phone with an OIS-enabled 200MP main camera and dual 50MP cameras for ultra-wide and periscope telephoto shots.
The new leak suggests that the Realme GT 9 Pro could feature a 200MP main camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The setup may also include a 50MP ultra-wide lens.
The Realme GT 8’s rear camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS. Considering that this will be the standard flagship in the series, it may not feature dual 200MP cameras. Instead, it could arrive with a single 200MP sensor as the primary camera.
The tipster also claims that there will be deeper Ricoh integration, which could further enhance colour tuning and image processing across the series.
Expected chipsets
The Realme GT 9 Pro is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, as its previous generation is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
There’s no clarity about the Realme GT 9’s chipset. The GT 8 came with the Snapdragon 8 Elite onboard, which suggests that the GT 9 could either feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or a newer iteration.
