Realme has been consistently teasing the arrival of the Realme Neo 8 in China. While it is expected to debut this month, the official launch date remains unclear.
Well ahead of the launch, the phone has been listed in the database of China’s TENAA certification authority, revealing its full specifications and images. Speculation is rife that this phone may arrive in India and other markets under the Realme GT 8 moniker.
Realme Neo 8 specifications (rumoured)
As per the TENAA listing, the Realme Neo 8 will feature a 6.78-inch display with a 1.5K resolutios. Reports reveal that it will use a Samsung AMOLED panel offering a 165Hz refresh rate.
The Realme Neo 8 will run Android 16 with Realme UI 7 layered on top. While the TENAA listing does not explicitly mention the chipset powering the device, its listed clock speeds and a recent Geekbench appearance suggest that it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
In China, the Neo 8 is expected to arrive with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device is said to pack a massive 8,000mAh battery, with a rated capacity of 7,760mAh. Rumours suggest support for 80W fast charging.
Despite being a performance-focused phone, it will not compromise on photography. The device is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Selfies will be handled by a 50MP front camera.
The Realme Neo 8’s TENAA listing also reveals additional features, including an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster.
Other reports suggest that the phone will feature a metal frame, a glass back, and an IP68/69 rating for protection against dust and water. Despite housing a large battery, it is said to maintain a slim 8.3mm profile and weigh around 215 grams.
