Redmi is expected to unveil the Redmi Turbo 5 Max in China this month. While it is likely to remain limited to the Chinese market, rumours suggest that it may arrive in India under the Poco X8 Pro Max branding.
Ahead of the anticipated launch, Redmi has released a couple of teasers for the Turbo 5 Max, confirming its design and battery capacity. Here’s a closer look at all the new details shared by the brand.
Redmi Turbo 5 Max showcased in Sea Breeze Blue
Showcased above is the Sea Breeze Blue edition of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. It features a large display with thin bezels and rounded corners. The phone has a fibreglass back panel with a dual rear camera setup housed inside a metal, racetrack-shaped module, while retaining the signature dual-ring turbo light strips.
For durability, the device features a metal middle frame and is said to offer IP68/69-level dust and water resistance. Overall, the design closely follows the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s styling, with subtle refinements.
Redmi Turbo 5 Max battery size confirmed
Another teaser confirms that the Redmi Turbo 5 Max packs a massive 9,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever seen on a Xiaomi smartphone. As per the device’s 3C certification, it is expected to support 100W rapid charging.
Performance is another highlight. The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset, announced last week. The chip has already been spotted achieving an impressive AnTuTu score of 3.29 million, positioning it as a strong rival to Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered phones.
Poco X8 Pro Max rebranding rumours
Reports suggest that the Poco X8 Pro Max could debut in India later this quarter. As mentioned earlier, the device is expected to share the same core specifications as the Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
