Samsung Galaxy A57, Galaxy A37 launched with six years of software support

As expected, the Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 have been launched in India today. They arrive as the successors to last year’s Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A37. The latest phones come with incremental upgrades compared to their predecessors.  The Galaxy A57 is the more premium offering among the two devices. Read on to know more about them below.

Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 specifications and features

The Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 have a 6.7-inch Infinity-O AMOLED display. Both offer an FHD+ resolution, a 1,900 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The devices feature a pill-shaped rear camera module and an Island Key on the side frame. The phones are IP68-certified dust and water-resistant.

On the optics front, the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 come with a 50MP primary sensor and a 5MP macro lens. The former has a 12MP ultra-wide-angle unit, whereas the latter features an 8MP snapper. Both phones have a 12MP selfie camera on the front

Under the hood, the latest Samsung Galaxy A57 is equipped with an Exynos 1680 processor. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A37 is powered by an Exynos 1640 chipset. Both phones pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The latest Galaxy A-series phones are backed by a 5,000mAh battery cell with support for 45W fast charging. The A57 also has a cooling vapour chamber. The smartphones now come with six years of software support, which means six generations of Android OS and security patches.

The Galaxy A57 and A37 ship with OneUI 8.5 out of the box with several AI features such as voice transcription, object eraser, circle to search, etc. The devices are secured by Knox Vault. 

The Samsung Galaxy A57 starts at Rs 58,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB option. The 12GB + 256GB configuration is priced at Rs 62,999. On the other hand, the Galaxy A37 costs Rs 45,999 and Rs 49,999 for 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options. The higher 12GB + 256GB variant carries a price tag of Rs 53,999. 

The Galaxy A57 5G is offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Icyblue and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal and Awesome Graygreen. Both phones are up for pre-orders starting today.
