Reports have revealed that Samsung is working on a couple of new A-series phones, including the Samsung Galaxy A57. The device has been gradually bagging different certifications, which indicates that its launch may not be far away.
Recently, the device was approved by China’s TENAA certification platform. Initially, the listing did not include images of the phone, but it has now been updated with images, revealing its redesigned look.
Samsung Galaxy A57 design
Samsung is no longer making major overhaul to its phones between new generations. Its recent phones show gradual design changes, and the same can be seen through images of the Galaxy A57 that have surfaced via its TENAA certification.
Like the previous generation, the A57 continues to sport a vertical camera setup with the cameras housed inside it. However, the camera module is now surrounded by a border, which gives it a slightly unique touch.
The LED flash is placed beside the camera module, and the phone continues to feature raised volume and power buttons, a design element dubbed the ‘Key Island’ by Samsung, which promises better grip.
To recall, the Galaxy A56 measured 7.4mm in thickness. The TENAA listing reveals that the A57 will be a thinner device, measuring only 6.9mm in thickness. As far as the front is concerned, the handset continues to sport a flat panel.a
Samsung Galaxy A57 specifications (rumoured)
As per the TENAA listing, the Galaxy A57 will feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen that delivers an FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the device is expected to feature the Exynos 1680 chipset. The Chinese certification suggests that the phone could be offered in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants in China.
For selfies, it may feature a 12MP front camera, while the rear camera module may include a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. The device is expected to come with other features, such as Samsung One UI 8-based Android 16, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and a 5,000mAh battery (4,905mAh rated value) with 45W charging.
Since the Galaxy S26 series is expected to debut by the end of February, the Galaxy A57 is expected to launch in the weeks preceding it.
