Samsung Galaxy Book4 launched in India with Intel Core 5, Core 7 CPUs

It’s been a good three months since Samsung first unveiled its Book4 series of laptops, which replaces the Galaxy Book3 series. In addition to this, it’s also been about a month since the company unveiled the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, the Galaxy Book4 Pro and the Galaxy Book4 360 laptops in India.

Now though, the company has launched the vanilla Galaxy Book4 in the country. Here’s all you need to know about it.

Samsung Galaxy Book4: Specifications and features

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 can be had with either an Intel Core 5 120U or Core 7 150U processor. In addition to this, it can be had with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of expandable SSD storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 gets a 16-inch display with a Full HD resolution. On offer is also a stereo speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos. What’s cool is, in addition to an immersive audio-visual experience, the laptop also provides for a great video conferencing experience. It does this by allowing you to use a connected Samsung Galaxy smartphone as a webcam for it.

All of this is encased in a body that weighs only 1.55KG, and is relatively thin. This guarantees easy portability, making it perfect for those who tend to travel quite frequently.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 also gets on-board AI capabilities. Namely, an AI-powered phot remaster tool which allows users to enhance older or low-quality images. It also allows one to remove any unwanted lights or shadows from a photo or a video.

In addition to the usual connectivity options, the Galaxy Book4 also gets an RJ45 LAN port for wired internet connectivity, which ensures fast speeds and stable connections.

Strangely however, Samsung has remained tight lipped on several key specifications of the laptop, including the graphics processor, screen refresh rate, as well as battery on the device. Hopefully, we’ll get to know a little bit more about the device in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy Book4: Pricing and availability

The new Samsung Galaxy Book4 is available in Grey and Silver colourways. The Intel Core 5 model of the laptop starts at Rs 70,990, depending on the configuration you decide to purchase it with, while the Intel Core 7 model starts at Rs 85,990.

A few other options you can consider in the price range are the HP Envy X360 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5.
