Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G launches with leather-like back finish, 6 years of OS upgrades

Samsung has launched the Galaxy F70e 5G as the company’s first F-series smartphone of the year. It is a new budget-friendly 5G phone that packs a high refresh rate 120Hz display and a massive battery, along with a premium finish. Here’s a look at everything the phone has to offer.

Starting at the front, the Galaxy F70e 5G features a waterdrop notch display measuring 6.7 inches. The LCD panel offers an HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 800 nits of peak brightness. For screen protection, it comes with two-step tempered glass.

One of the major highlights of the Galaxy F70e is that it runs One UI 8 based on Android 16. Samsung has also promised up to six years of OS upgrades and security patches. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset and houses a massive 6,000mAh battery with 25W charging support.

For photography, the Galaxy F70e features a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, while the front houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. For reliable 5G connectivity, the phone supports 12 5G bands.

The Galaxy F70e also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack for audiophiles. In terms of durability, it comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G: Price and availability

The Galaxy F70e 5G has launched in India in two variants: 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB, priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively. It is available in Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue colour options.

With bank discounts and coupons offering up to Rs 1,000 off, the phone can be purchased for as low as Rs 11,999. Interested buyers can purchase the device via Samsung’s website and offline retail stores starting February 19.
