Samsung held the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event today to unveil the much-anticipated Galaxy S26 series. The lineup includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This year’s key highlight is the introduction of a hardware-based Privacy Display, alongside faster charging and camera upgrades across the range.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Specs and features
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in all regions, including India. It sports a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 3K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate. The device offers up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Its quad rear camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.4 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP 5x periscope camera, and a 10MP 3x telephoto sensor. All models support 8K video recording at 30fps and 10-bit HDR.
The Ultra retains a 5,000mAh battery from previous generation upgrades wired charging to up to 60W wired charging. It also supports wireless charging. It comes with other features, such as the S Pen, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+: Specs and features
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ feature 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, respectively, with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Armor 2 protection. The standard model offers a Full HD+ resolution, while the Plus variant delivers 3120 x 1440 pixels. Both phones are powered by the 2nm-based Exynos 2600 chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
For photography, both models include a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. A 12MP front camera with dual-pixel autofocus is present across the lineup.
The Galaxy S26 packs a 4,300mAh battery with 25W charging, whereas the S26+ houses a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging. Both devices support Qi2 wireless charging and carry an IP68 rating.
The Galaxy S26 series runs on Android 16 with One UI 8.5. The new Privacy Display restricts side viewing angles to safeguard on-screen content from prying eyes, and similar technology is expected to appear on other flagship smartphones soon.
