Sony WF-1000XM6 launched with upgraded ANC and 32-bit audio

The new model introduces upgraded noise cancellation, 32-bit audio processing, enhanced call clarity, and refined design improvements. Here’s everything you need to know about the specifications, features, and pricing.

Sony WF-1000XM6: Key specs and features

The Sony WF-1000XM6 arrives with a redesigned in-ear shape aimed at improving comfort and stability during long listening sessions. Each earbud is slimmer than its predecessor and features updated ventilation to reduce internal noise caused by movement.

The charging case has also been refreshed with a more refined design and an easier one-hand opening mechanism. Sony has equipped the earbuds with new noise isolation tips, available in multiple sizes, to improve passive sealing and overall listening consistency.

At the core is Sony’s Integrated Processor V2 paired with the new QN3e noise-cancelling chip, enabling 32-bit audio processing for greater detail and dynamic range. The earbuds feature 8.4mm dynamic drivers tuned alongside Sony Music engineers to deliver balanced sound with improved bass and clarity.

Supported codecs include SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3. Features such as DSEE Extreme, 360 Reality Audio with head tracking, and a 10-band equaliser through the Sound Connect app offer deeper customisation. Four microphones per earbud support adaptive noise cancelling that automatically adjusts based on the environment and fit.

Call quality benefits from bone conduction sensors and AI-based beamforming technology. Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, multipoint pairing, Auracast support, Fast Pair, Swift Pair, wireless charging, IPX4 water resistance, and internal antennas that are 1.5x larger contribute to improved connectivity and usability.
