Raising the volume on your mobile phone is straightforward. You simply press the volume up button on the side of your phone and you’re set. However, things can sometimes go wrong, or your phone isn’t within reach. In some cases, you might want to boost your volume beyond what your phone is capable of. In such cases, here are some suggestions:
Raising volume on iPhone
Using AirPods: If you have AirPods, you have three options for raising volume.
– Simply press and hold the stem of your AirPods and ask Siri to raise the volume for you
– Map the left or right stem to adjust volume when pressed (Settings>Bluetooth>AirPods)
– On newer AirPods you can swipe up or down on the stems to adjust volume.

Ask Siri: “Hey Siri, raise the volume” is a simple command to try when the iPhone isn’t within reach.
Using Apple Watch: You can control the volume of any app on your iPhone by opening that app on your Watch and using the dial to adjust volume.
Volume limits: In case your speakers are sounding muted even at max volume, or perhaps you want to limit max volume, head to Settings>Sounds and Haptics>Limit Max Volume. Toggle that setting on or off depending on what you prefer.

Third-party apps: While not recommended owing to privacy concerns and potential damage to your speakers, you can, if absolutely necessary, use third-party apps on the Play Store to boost volume.
As always, the disclaimer applies that boosting your phone’s volume beyond recommended limits or listening to audio at high volume levels for extended periods can damage both your phone and your eardrums. Exercise caution at all times.
