If March felt like your Instagram or X feed was one endless stream of phone launch posters, April is about to crank things up another notch. The next few weeks are shaping up to be especially busy for anyone eyeing a phone upgrade, with camera-first flagships, big-battery mid-rangers, and a few suspiciously overachieving “value” phones all lining up for release.
From OnePlus and Oppo to Vivo, Xiaomi and Realme, these are some of the upcoming smartphones launching in April 2026 that you should look out for.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra
Oppo’s next Ultra phone is shaping up to be the kind of flagship that makes very little effort to appear restrained. Expected to arrive in India this April, the Find X9 Ultra could bring a 6.82-inch Quad HD LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support.
It is also tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, alongside LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A battery larger than 6,000mAh, paired with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, suggests this could be one of the more complete premium Android phones of the month.
Realme 16
Launching in India on April 2, the Realme 16 appears to be leaning towards the things people tend to care about after the honeymoon period wears off; battery life, durability and display responsiveness.
The phone has been confirmed to feature a 7,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging, alongside IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Add a bright 6.57-inch display and a cleaner new horizontal camera layout, and this looks like a solid everyday phone.
Vivo V70 FE
Vivo’s first FE model in the V70 series is expected to land on April 2, and on paper, it looks like a phone designed to win over the spec-conscious buyer. Leaks point to a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, and a sizeable 7,000mAh battery with 90W charging.

The headline-grabber, however, is expected to be its 200MP primary camera. If Vivo manages to deliver its usual polished design and dependable imaging in a more accessible package, the V70 FE could end up being one of April’s more appealing upper-mid-range launches.
Redmi Note 15 Special Edition
The Redmi Note lineup rarely strays far from its formula, but that formula tends to work for a reason. The Redmi Note 15 Special Edition, expected to arrive on April 2, appears to continue Xiaomi’s tried-and-tested playbook of giving buyers just enough visual flair and hardware value to make the phone appealing to its target demographic.
It is expected to feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, and a 108MP main camera. The Crimson Reserve finish with vegan leather should also help it stand out in a sea of glass slabs.
OnePlus Nord 6
Set to launch on April 7, the OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to feature a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, and a very large 9,000mAh battery. OnePlus is also bringing in a dedicated G2 Wi-Fi chip, which it says can improve connectivity in crowded environments. If the pricing remains competitive, this could be one of the most compelling mid-range Android launches of the season.
