The rumour mill has been consistently leaking details about the Vivo V70 series for the past few weeks. Today, the brand has officially confirmed its arrival by making the series’ microsite live on its official website.
The listing reveals the design and key specifications of the lineup, which includes two devices — the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite. Notably, this marks the first time Vivo is launching a smartphone with an “Elite” branding.
Vivo V70 Elite key specifications, design revealed
The official microsite primarily highlights flagship-grade specifications, suggesting that the revealed details may largely pertain to the Vivo V70 Elite. As per the listing, the series will be powered by a Qualcomm chipset, with the Elite variant confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, indicating top-tier performance credentials.
In terms of display, the Vivo V70 series will feature an OLED panel offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen adopts a flat design with rounded corners, giving it a clean and modern appearance. Speaking of build quality, both models will feature an aluminium metal frame and come with IP68/69 ratings, ensuring resistance against dust and water.
Moving on to the cameras, the Vivo V70 lineup will sport a 50MP front camera with autofocus support for selfies and video calls. On the rear, the phones will feature a flagship-grade camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite will pack a large 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. On the software front, the lineup will run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6. Vivo has also confirmed a long-term update policy, promising four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
What to expect from the Vivo V70
The Vivo V70 was recently spotted on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Based on the footnote mentioned on the official page, this model may start with an 8GB + 256GB configuration.
However, there is no clarity yet on whether its RAM and storage options will mirror those of the Elite variant. That said, it is likely to feature the same display, camera setup, battery, charging speeds, and software experience as the Elite edition.
