Vivo V70, V70 Elite phones to launch this month as new details surface online

Vivo has officially confirmed that the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will be announced on February 19 in India. The official landing page on Vivo India’s website has now been updated with new details about both devices. The brand has also confirmed the colour variants for the two smartphones.

Vivo V70 Elite: What’s known so far?

As seen above, the Vivo V70 Elite is confirmed to arrive in three colour options: Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black. The company has also confirmed that the base variant of the phone will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

It is already known that the V70 Elite will be the company’s first V-series smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. With specifications such as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, the device is expected to deliver strong performance while maintaining its photography-focused positioning.

The Vivo V70 Elite is also confirmed to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. For selfies and video calls, it will be equipped with a 50MP front camera with autofocus support.

On the rear, the phone will feature an OIS-assisted 50MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

Vivo V70: What’s known so far?

The official image confirms that the Vivo V70 will be available in colour options such as Passion Red and Lemon Yellow. It is now official that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, although its remaining specifications have not been revealed yet. It is expected to feature the same display and camera setup as the Elite variant.

In terms of build quality, the V70 series will feature an aluminium alloy frame and an IP68/69-rated dust- and water-resistant body. The lineup will run on OriginOS 6-based Android and is confirmed to receive up to six years of software updates. The Vivo V70 is expected to start at under Rs 50,000 in India. The entire lineup is likely to launch alongside the Oppo Reno 15 series in the country.
