Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo X300 Ultra will launch in global markets, marking a first for the brand’s Ultra series. The device was showcased at MWC 2026, where the company offered a preview of its photography-focused upgrades and modular camera accessories. While the full specifications are yet to be detailed, the focus is clearly on extreme zoom and creator tools.
Vivo X300 Ultra's 400mm teleconverter revealed
The highlight of the showcase is a new 400mm Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 attachment. This add-on lens delivers up to 17x optical zoom, significantly extending the phone’s native focal range.
With in-sensor cropping, Vivo claims the combined system can stretch to 800mm and even achieve 1600mm digital crop with maintained clarity, aided by a 200-megapixel zoom sensor and advanced stabilisation. The company also refers to gimbal-grade optical image stabilisation and motion tracking to help manage shake at long distances.
Alongside the lens, Vivo introduced a dedicated camera cage designed for serious video work. The accessory includes dual hand grips, cold shoe mounts for microphones or lights, physical shutter and zoom controls, and an integrated cooling fan to support extended 4K recording sessions. The cage is built to work seamlessly with the teleconverter, effectively turning the phone into a compact production rig.
Vivo X300 Ultra specifications (rumoured)
Although official specifications remain under wraps, leaks suggest the device may feature a dual 200MP rear setup. This could include a Sony LYT-901 main sensor and a Samsung HPB periscope telephoto camera, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP multispectral sensor.
The phone is also rumoured to feature a 6.82-inch AMOLED 2K 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and pack a battery close to 7,000mAh with fast wired and wireless charging support.
By taking the Ultra series global, Vivo appears ready to compete directly with other photography-focused flagships, positioning the X300 Ultra as a serious option for enthusiasts and content creators alike.
