The upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra is being touted as Xiaomi’s most advanced flagship phone ever. Set to debut next week in China, the device is expected to arrive with major upgrades in the camera department. Now, a new leak has surfaced suggesting that it will pack a significantly larger battery than its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra battery size, charging speed tipped
According to tipster Bald Panda, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will house a 6,800mAh battery with 100W wired charging. In comparison, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra houses a comparatively smaller 6,000mAh battery.
The leak also reveals that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will support wireless charging, which could go up to 80W as per other reports. The device is said to measure 77.6mm in width, 8mm in thickness, and weigh around 227 grams. It is expected to arrive in colour options such as black, white, green, and purple.

As per other reports, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a slightly redesigned camera module with three camera sensors, including a 1-inch OmniVision OV50X 50MP main camera, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP Samsung HPE periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, it may feature a 50MP OV50M front camera.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which, combined with the massive battery, should deliver stellar performance. It is also tipped to house a 6.9-inch OLED screen offering a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The device is expected to ship with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. These specifications indicate that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could be the brand’s ultimate flagship offering.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra India launch timeframe (rumoured)
Reports suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will hit other markets, including India, in March 2026. The more compact Xiaomi 17 is also expected to break cover alongside it.
