Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch date confirmed, official images reveal major design changes

After confirming the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s early arrival last week, the brand has officially revealed its launch date for China. Set to break cover on December 25, the device is expected to arrive with major changes in the camera department. Apart from this, the official images released by the brand showcase design changes that will be seen on the 17 Ultra.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra sports a refined design

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra retains its circular camera module design, similar to previous generations. The revised camera island houses three camera sensors with Leica branding at the centre.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will sport a new 1-inch camera sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Reports have revealed that, unlike previous-generation models that featured a quad-camera setup, the next-generation device will have a triple camera setup.

According to other reports, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will arrive with a 6.9-inch OLED LTPO screen offering a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a massive 6,800mAh battery.
