Using Contact Transfer

Send contacts directly from an iPhone to an Android device. Using Windows software, such as Contact Transfer, would give you total control over your contacts despite cloud services needing to sync them. Using Contact Transfer and a PC, you can manually copy contacts across an iPhone with an Android phones.

1. On a Windows computer, open Contact Transfer

2. Select Android device as the source and iOS device as the destination and press Next

3. Link your devices

4. Connect your iPhone using your USB cable

5. Open the Contact Transfer Android app on your Android device, then scan the QR code on your PC’s screen to connect

6. Choose the contacts you want to move, or click All to choose them

7. To transfer contacts from an iPhone to an Android device, select Transfer

Use Google Drive

You can quickly move your contacts from an iPhone to an Android device for free using Google Drive. With this, you can move your entire address book in a single step. Here’s how to go about it:

1. Download the free Google Drive app on your iPhone and log in using your Google account

2. Toggle between Settings and Backup by tapping the menu icon in the app’s top-left corner

3. Toggle Back up to Google Contacts here by selecting Contacts; you may also choose to enable Calendar and Photos & Videos

4. Click Start Backup after tapping the back arrow

The backup process could take some time, depending on how much you are backing up. You need to open the Contacts app on your Android device after the backup is finished to view any contacts.

Sync contacts between your iPhone and Android device

Although syncing with your Google account is fantastic, it will only transfer your Gmail contacts; instead, use one of the other methods in this guide to move contacts from other accounts.

You will want a Google account to use this approach. If you don’t already have an account, you can create one. This is necessary for every Android device usage. Once Gmail contacts are enabled in your iPhone’s settings, you can upload your contacts:

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts

2. Tap your Gmail account (or, if you haven’t already, choose Add Account)

3. Toggle Contacts to the On position by tapping

4. Now, your contacts and Google Contacts will sync

5. Ensure that you are using the same Google account on your Android smartphone. By doing this, you can be confident that your synced contacts will appear instantly in the contacts app!

Several methods are available for transferring contacts from an iPhone to an Android device. Using a third-party tool to sync contacts between the two devices, such as Copy My Data or Google Contacts, is a frequent solution. Alternatively, you can import contacts from your iPhone into your Android device by exporting them as a vCard file.
