iOS 26.2 is here, and it lets you play around with Liquid Glass

Apple has quietly released iOS 26.2, and it lets you play around with Liquid Glass a bit more. Users can now adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass, letting you have complete control over it. Moreover, the update brings changes to Apple Music, the Reminders app, and adds an extra layer of security to AirDrop. Here’s everything you need to know.

What’s new with iOS 26.2?

iOS 26.2 is a surprise update, as it adds new customisation features. This includes the ability to adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass, which wasn’t possible earlier. For the Lock screen, you now have a slider that lets you choose between a frosted look and a glassy-transparent look.

Notably, Apple moved from a completely transparent UI with the initial launch to a more frosted look with the recent iOS 26.1 update. Now, however, users get better control over how Liquid Glass looks on their iPhones.

In addition to this, Apple has added offline lyrics support for Apple Music. Previously, you needed an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection to see lyrics. AirDrop has also received an update, but it isn’t exactly seamless anymore. You now have to enter a code while transferring files with an unknown contact.

Interestingly, Reminders now support alarms. This means, instead of just buzzing once to remind you about your most important tasks, there will be an alarm that you can snooze.

Other than this, you get new security alerts for different imminent threats, like floods, earthquakes, and other natural disasters. These alerts are currently limited only to the US.
