After launching the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 flagship phones last month in China, OnePlus is now gearing up to introduce a new performance-focused Ace-branded phone in the country. Today, the brand rolled out the above poster to confirm that its upcoming phone will be called the OnePlus Ace 6T. What’s interesting is that this device will debut as the world’s first phone powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
OnePlus Ace 6T: What’s known so far?
According to OnePlus President Li Jie, the OnePlus Ace 6T, a performance-centric smartphone, will bring support for up to 165fps gaming thanks to the new chipset and a 165Hz refresh rate display. Additionally, its battery life is said to far exceed expectations.
OnePlus Ace 6T specifications (rumoured)
As per reports, the OnePlus Ace 6T will feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen offering a crisp 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It will run Android 16 with ColorOS 16 on top. For security, it will include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered phone will offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and a massive 8,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
For photography, the Ace 6T will have a 32MP front camera, while the rear setup may include a 50MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
It will also support features like NFC, dual speakers, and an X-axis linear motor. The device is expected to arrive in shades such as black, green and purple. There may also be a Genshin Impact-themed special edition.
OnePlus 15R incoming
In related news, OnePlus recently unveiled the OnePlus 15 in India. At the end of the launch livestream, the brand confirmed that it will also launch the OnePlus 15R soon, but did not reveal any information about its specifications.
The OnePlus 13R was based on China’s OnePlus Ace 5, which suggests that the OnePlus 15R could be similar to the existing Ace 6. However, now that the Ace 6T is also launching soon, it remains to be seen whether the 15R will be based on the Ace 6 or the Ace 6T.
