Stable OxygenOS 16 update rollout begins for OnePlus 13 series

Last month, OnePlus officially unveiled OxygenOS 16 and confirmed that its rollout would begin in November, starting with the OnePlus 13 series. Now, several OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s users have confirmed that they have already started receiving the new major software update. Here’s a look at the updated rollout details and the new features it brings along.

OnePlus 13, 13s are the first to get OxygenOS 16 update

While some OnePlus 13 and 13s units have already received the OxygenOS 16 upgrade, others are still waiting, as the rollout is being done in phases. The OnePlus 13 has been treated with the CPH2649_16.0.0.210 (EX01) build, while the OnePlus 13s users are getting the CPH2723_16.0.0.211 (EX01) build.

Other devices, including the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, and tablets like the Pad 3 and Pad 2, are also expected to receive the update this month. The second batch will reportedly include the OnePlus 11, 11R, Nord 5, Nord CE 5, Nord 4, and Nord 3. Finally, the last phase scheduled for Q1 2026 will extend the rollout to devices such as the OnePlus Pad, Pad Lite, OnePlus 10 Pro, Nord CE 4, and Nord CE 4 Lite.

How to install OxygenOS update on OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s

To receive OxygenOS 16, ensure that your OnePlus 13 or 13s is running on the latest firmware. Then, navigate to Settings > Software update. If the OxygenOS 16 update is available, tap Download and install.

Before updating, make sure your device has sufficient storage space and a minimum battery level of 30 percent or higher to ensure a smooth installation process.

OxygenOS 16: What’s new?

OxygenOS 16 introduces a refreshed visual design, smoother animations, and advanced AI-powered tools for daily use. It features an updated interface with refined transitions, deeper personalisation options through Flux Themes 2.0, and improved multitasking capabilities for tablets.

The new Cross-Device Connectivity Hub enables seamless syncing between phones, PCs, and TVs. Meanwhile, AI-powered features like Mind Space, AI Writer, and AI Recorder aim to enhance productivity and efficiency. Based on Android 16, the update also adds improved privacy controls and predictive navigation for a smarter, smoother experience.

The OnePlus 15, set to debut on November 13 in India, will come pre-installed with OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
